Today’s post is all about macro photography, a technique i recently learned in a great photo class i took in Central Park (http://jpteachesphoto.com/). It’s also this week’s challenge for 52 Frames.
According to wiki,macro photograph is:
Extreme close up photography, usually of very small subjects, in which the size of the subject in the photograph is greater than life size (though macrophotography technically refers to the art of making very large photographs)
A lot of macro examples i found were of bugs (YUCK!). I did not want to get anywhere near bugs and a whole post of flowers seemed too easy so i went into my kitchen. I did struggle to get a picture that wasn’t shaky as well as dealing with certain limitations of my lens, which won’t seem focus when you are too close.
Still, I’m really happy with these and i think they show a new range for me in photography!
